Overview
The VIAVI MP-series power meter is a miniature device that measures optical power through a USB 2.0 connection to a PC, laptop or smart device. Because the meter connects over USB, optical power measurements can be processed digitally.
The MP-60/-80 integrates directly with the VIAVI FiberChekPRO and FiberChekMOBILE fiber inspection and analysis software. The software interface combines fiber inspection and optical power test procedures in one workflow, with integrated reporting.
Measurements are taken at the push of a button. Results can be archived electronically, logged and printed. The meter supports single-mode and multimode applications, including LAN, telecom, CATV and DWDM testing, and can also be used with other VIAVI test platforms.
