How we protect your data, our website, and retired equipment

Last updated: October 20, 2026

TracePoint Systems takes the security of your information, our website, and the equipment we handle seriously. This page summarizes the practices we follow. It is informational and does not create a warranty or contractual commitment beyond the terms in your quotation or agreement.

Website security

  • All traffic to tracepointsys.com is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS).
  • Our website and hosting platform are kept up to date with security patches.
  • Administrative access to the Site is limited to authorized staff and protected by individual credentials.
  • We do not collect or store payment card details through the Site.

Customer and business data

  • Access to customer records is restricted to team members who need it to prepare quotes, fulfill orders, or provide services.
  • Information is shared with manufacturers, laboratories, and service providers only as needed to complete your request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We retain records only as long as needed for business, legal, warranty, and accounting purposes.

Quality management

TracePoint Systems is ISO 9001 certified. Our quality management system covers the processes we use to source, deliver, and support equipment and services, and it is reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Retired equipment and data-secure handling

Modern test instruments can store measurement data, network settings, and other information. When you trade in, sell, or retire equipment through our asset disposition services, we handle data-bearing instruments under a data-secure process so that stored information is not passed on with the equipment. Ask our team if you need documentation of this handling for your own records or compliance program.

Export compliance

Many test and measurement instruments are subject to U.S. export control regulations. We screen transactions as required and will ask for end-use and end-user information when needed to comply with these rules.
