Overview

The VIAVI OneAdvisor 1000 is a scalable, modular network test platform for technicians and engineers who install and maintain high-capacity networks at rates up to 400G. It supports both emerging and legacy technologies and is intended for metro/core, data center interconnect and business services testing.

The platform provides full-rate and protocol coverage for service activation, troubleshooting and maintenance of 400G circuits. Native PAM-4 support is provided through its connectors and interfaces, including QSFP-DD and SFP-DD, and it tests newer technology such as PAM-4 and KP4 FEC at 400GE.

Available tests include Optics Self-Test for QSFPx and SFPx pluggables, high-speed cable testing for data centers, RFC 2544 and Y.1564 Ethernet testing, and OTN Check. The OneAdvisor 1000 is also compatible with fiber optic test modules such as OTDR and WDM channel checkers, including the COSA-4055 CWDM optical spectrum analyzer module, the Nano OSA 4100 Series modules and the OCC-4056C DWDM optical channel checker module.

The ONA-1000A base mainframe is used together with plug-in test modules such as the TM100GA 100G and TM400GA 400G transport modules. Separate software packages are published for the OneAdvisor 1000 100G and 400G configurations.
