Overview

The VIAVI UPG-ONX-630SWX-730 is a mainframe upgrade package in the OneExpert HFC (ONX-720/730) family. It moves an existing ONX-630 SWX configuration to the ONX-730 mainframe. This is the No Optics version, so it has no optical power meter and no visual fault locator.

The OneExpert HFC platform tests DOCSIS, Ethernet, PON and WiFi 7 throughput up to 10 Gbps. VIAVI Test Process Automation (TPA) provides one-button OneCheck workflows that give pass/fail results. This package includes OneCheck Ethernet, OneCheck WiFi and 10G SpeedCheck, together with the ONX 730 SWX software package.

DOCSIS and RF

The ONX-720/730 keeps the RF and DOCSIS test capabilities of the ONX-620/630, including support for existing ONX DOCSIS/RF modules. For the SWX configuration, Return Signal Generator with Loopback and Ingress Expert are standard. Reverse Sweepless Sweep, QAM Video MPEG Verification and Field View with RSG are available as options.

Design

The mainframe is IP54 rated, weatherproof and drop-tested. It has a modular design that can be upgraded for 25G/50G PON and DOCSIS 4.0. It also has integrated GPS, StrataSync and mobile app support, and a field-replaceable 96 W/hr battery.
