Overview

The VIAVI UPG-ONX-630NTX-730 is the No Optics mainframe upgrade package for the OneExpert HFC ONX-730 with the NTX software package. It is one of the OneExpert HFC upgrade packages for existing ONX-620/630 users. The package does not include optical power meter hardware or a visual fault locator.

The OneExpert HFC (ONX-720/730) validates DOCSIS, Ethernet, PON and WiFi 7 throughput up to 10 Gbps. It uses VIAVI Test Process Automation (TPA) and OneCheck one-button workflows to give consistent pass/fail results for technicians doing residential and small business service activation.

DOCSIS and RF

The ONX-720/730 keeps the RF and DOCSIS testing features of the ONX-620/630, including support for existing RF modules. The mainframe upgrade works with the listed OneExpert CATV DOCSIS 3.1 modules. On this model, Return Signal Generator with Loopback and Ingress Expert are standard. Reverse Sweepless Sweep, QAM Video MPEG Verification and Field View with RSG are available as options.

Platform

The unit is IP54 rated, weatherproof, drop-tested and modular. It has integrated GPS, StrataSync and Bluetooth connectivity to the VIAVI Mobile Tech app, plus a field-replaceable 96 W/hr Li-Ion battery. Its modular design supports future upgrades to 25G/50G PON and DOCSIS 4.0.
