Overview
The VIAVI Trilithic 360 DSP Pro is a member of the DSP Series of DOCSIS 3.1 installation and service meters for cable service providers and contractors. The 180 and 360 DSP meters are designed for fast installation RF signal testing and troubleshooting, with the analog and digital signal measurements needed to certify an installation.
The 360 DSP has a built-in DOCSIS 3.1 modem, Ethernet and WiFi communications, and test results can be uploaded to StrataSync for near real-time views of measurement data. The internal modem operates in DOCSIS 3.0 (32x8) and DOCSIS 3.1 modes and supports cable modem statistics, OFDM profile analysis and network connectivity tests such as Ping, Traceroute, Throughput, VoIP and modem speed test.
The Pro model adds Upstream Traffic Control Plus, upstream linear distortion measurements (equalizer taps, group delay and in-channel response) and QAM Error Vector Spectrum analysis for viewing ingress underneath downstream QAM channels. Like the Advanced model, it also includes a Frequency Domain Reflectometer and a source generator for CW, QAM and OFDM carriers in the return band.
The meter has a color touchscreen interface, pass/fail indicators and autotest apps, along with a quick charge time, a built-in LED flashlight and a glow in the dark keypad. StrataSync, the VIAVI cloud-based asset, configuration and test data management system, can be reached over Ethernet, DOCSIS or WiFi, and its workflow option can deliver work orders and test profiles to the meter.
