Overview

The Luna os9120 is the extended-range member of the os9100 Series of low-profile fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pressure sensors. It measures temperature-compensated static and dynamic pressure over a range of -3,000 to 13,000 Pa, with resolution down to 2 Pa when averaging is applied.

The sensor uses FBG technology to detect small changes in pressure and runs on the same HYPERION platform as Luna sensors for strain, temperature, displacement and acceleration. Up to 304 os9100 Series sensors can be integrated on a single HYPERION instrument, and sensors can be distributed over distances of up to 10 km.

Installation uses a self-adhesive mounting method intended to be simple and repeatable.

Software

The os9100 Series is compatible with Luna's ENLIGHT Sensing Analysis Software, which provides tools for data acquisition, computation and analysis of optical sensor networks. Developers can also use the HYPERION platform's application programming interface and examples written in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C++ and C#.
