Overview
The Luna os9100 Series consists of low-profile fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors for discrete static and dynamic pressure measurements. The sensors detect small changes in pressure and operate on the same HYPERION platform used by Luna sensors for strain, temperature, displacement and acceleration, so pressure can be measured alongside other physical parameters on one instrumentation platform.
Up to 304 os9100 sensors can be integrated on a single HYPERION instrument, which allows dense pressure measurement across distances of up to 10 km. The series includes the os9110 and the extended-range os9120, with resolution down to 2 Pa when averaging is applied.
The sensors are installed with a self-adhesive mounting method, which keeps installation simple and repeatable.
Software
The os9100 Series is compatible with Luna's ENLIGHT Sensing Analysis Software, which provides tools for data acquisition, computation and analysis of optical sensor networks. Developers can also use the HYPERION platform's application programming interface (API) and the examples written in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C++ and C#.
