Overview

The Luna os9110 is the standard-range model of the os9100 Series, a family of low-profile fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pressure sensors for static and dynamic pressure measurements. It covers a measurement range of -2,000 to 4,000 Pa, with resolution down to 2 Pa when averaging is applied.

The sensor uses FBG technology to detect small changes in pressure and runs on the same HYPERION instrumentation platform as Luna sensors for strain, temperature, displacement and acceleration. Up to 304 sensors can be integrated on a single 16-channel HYPERION si255, and sensors can be distributed over measurement distances of up to 10 km.

Installation uses a self-adhesive mounting method intended to be simple and repeatable.

Software

The os9100 Series is compatible with Luna's ENLIGHT Sensing Analysis Software, which provides tools for data acquisition, computation and analysis of optical sensor networks. Developers can also use the HYPERION platform's application programming interface and examples written in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C++ and C#.
