Overview
The NSC200-LOOPBACK-BASE is the Loopback ordering package of the VIAVI Network & Service Companion (NSC-200). It is configured with Ethernet Loopback 1G and is used as a remote loopback device for validating Ethernet business services.
The NSC-200 is a compact, screenless hand-held test device for Ethernet, enterprise and data center networks. Port loopback and source-specific VIAVI loopback at Layer 2 and Layer 3 let the unit act as the far end for Y.1564 and RFC2544 tests run from a T-BERD/MTS-5800.
The unit is operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app over Bluetooth and supports StrataSync for cloud-based asset, workflow and result management. It can also serve as a remote-controlled test agent in the VIAVI Fusion centralized test system, supporting leave-behind use for long-term testing and failure analysis.
Additional capabilities of the NSC platform, such as higher-rate loopback, TWAMP reflector, throughput testing, PON and WiFi testing, are available as options.
