Overview
The NSC100-LOOPBACK-PLUS is a standard ordering package of the VIAVI Network & Service Companion (NSC-100), a compact, screenless handheld test device. This package is configured with Ethernet Loopback 10G, providing port, L2 and L3 loopback on 10M, 100M, 1G and 10G Ethernet interfaces.
In this configuration the NSC-100 acts as a remote loopback device. Combined with a VIAVI T-BERD/MTS-5800, it is used to validate business services with Y.1564 and RFC 2544 tests. It supports port loopback and source-specific VIAVI loopback.
The NSC-100 is operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app over Bluetooth on Android and iOS devices. Test results and reports can be managed through StrataSync, the VIAVI cloud-based asset, configuration and test data management system. VIAVI Fusion, a centralized test system, can use NSC units as remote-controlled test agents.
Additional capabilities of the NSC platform, including GPON and XGSPON emulation, WiFi testing and throughput tests, are available as separately ordered options.
