Overview

The VIAVI CX300 ComXpert is a communications service monitor for radio technicians. It comes in a small, ruggedized, field-portable form factor and supports both analog and digital radio testing.

The CX300 has a large color touchscreen. Its user interface uses multiple tabs, much like an internet browser, so the technician can switch between test setups without reloading settings. Color-coded meters look like swept analog meters and also show a digital readout. Individual and overall pass/fail flags support go/no-go testing.

The VIAVI Auto-Test applications are available as an option. They run automated test and alignment routines that follow each radio OEM's maintenance specifications.

Data management and remote control

Test results from manual and automated tests can be saved and managed with VIAVI StrataSync, a cloud-based system for asset configuration and test data management. The CX300's wireless connectivity lets it upload results to the cloud and receive software updates. The free VIAVI Smart Access Anywhere app, available for Windows, Android and iOS, provides full remote control of the test set.
