Overview

The HRS40n1 Receiver is a fiber-coupled terahertz sensor head for the Luna T-Ray® 5000 time-domain terahertz system. Paired with any of the HTS40nm transmitters, it provides high spectral bandwidth, with a bandwidth over 3.5 THz and a signal-to-noise ratio above 70 dB.

The sensor heads operate in reflection or transmission mode and deliver a picosecond-duration time-domain terahertz pulse, which allows scanned images to be produced at high speed with the T-Ray 5000 system.

Amplification is embedded close to the signal source. This gives the receiver a high signal-to-noise ratio and removes the need for a lock-in amplifier. The receiver is hot swappable, has an adjustable lens tube for focusing, and is available with multiple lens configurations.
