Overview
The Luna HDCFG continuous fiber grating (CFG) sensor is a high-definition strain sensor for use with the ODiSI distributed fiber optic sensing system. It is designed for high-resolution strain measurements in dynamic environments, with improved immunity to vibration and higher measurement bandwidth.
CFG sensors are low-profile, flexible sensors built on polyimide-coated fiber, suited to surface-mounted and embedded installations on complex geometries. They provide a strain gage pitch of 6 mm and are offered in standard lengths from 1 m to 15 m.
The sensors are compatible with ODiSI 6000 and 6100 systems and standard-length remote modules. Each sensor is supplied with NIST-traceable calibration coefficients and a unique key ID that enables plug-and-play identification and operation with the ODiSI software.
Luna lists this product as discontinued; the HD Strain Sensors (HD6S) are named as the replacement product.
