Overview

The Luna os9200 is a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based pressure sensor for monitoring both liquid and gaseous environments. It uses FBG technology to measure small changes in pressure, with a measurement range of 0 to 100 bar and a resolution down to 0.1% of full scale. The sensor is internally temperature-compensated.

Multipoint sensing networks

Up to 96 os9200 sensors can be connected to a single HYPERION interrogator platform. They can share the same optical network with other FBG sensors, so the system can measure other parameters such as temperature, strain, displacement, acceleration and tilt at the same time. Because the sensors are optical, the monitoring system can be spread over long distances.

Software and integration

The os9200 works with ENLIGHT Sensing Analysis Software, a set of tools for data acquisition, computation and analysis of optical sensor networks. It is also supported by the HYPERION Application Programming Interface (API), which includes examples in LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, C++ and C#.
