MA24330A Microwave CW USB Power Sensor, 10 MHz to 33 GHz
Microwave CW USB power sensor measuring average power from 10 MHz to 33 GHz over a 90 dB dynamic range.
- Frequency Range
- 10 MHz to 33 GHz
- Video Bandwidth
- 50 kHz
Overview
The Anritsu MA24330A is a microwave CW USB power sensor that provides average power measurements from 10 MHz to 33 GHz over 90 dB of dynamic range. It is a member of the MA243x0A series, which uses a single-path diode architecture and connects to a host through a USB 2.0 high-speed interface, so no benchtop power meter is required.
Digital processing in the sensor supports measurement speeds above 2,100 continuous power readings per second and above 5,600 buffered readings per second. The low-noise design removes the need to zero the sensor before taking measurements for most applications, and the 1 mW reference calibration step is eliminated.
Triggering and measurement modes
The sensor has internal and external triggering for time-based measurements, with external trigger latching for pulses as narrow as 20 ns. Continuous average, scope and list modes are available; list mode allows a sequence of frequency, aperture time and averaging settings to speed up automated test.
Control and compatibility
The MA24330A is controlled from a PC through remote programming commands or with PowerXpert, a software application supplied free of charge. It is also compatible with most Anritsu RF and microwave handheld instruments, which may require the high accuracy power meter software option (for example Option 19).
Damage protection of +26 dBm CW and +32 dBm for pulses shorter than 10 µs, together with a removable silicone protective covering, is intended to improve ruggedness in field use. Calibration is NIST traceable.
