Overview
The Anritsu MA24441A is a member of the MA24400A family of USB peak power sensors. It measures peak and average power from 50 MHz to 40 GHz and connects to a host PC over USB, with a ruggedized K male RF connector.
The sensors use a parallel processing method for RF power measurement. Power readings are processed in real time, so the sensor continues to capture data while previous captures are being processed, rather than halting measurements during processing. Sampling runs at 100 megasamples per second continuous and 10 gigasamples per second effective, giving a time resolution of 100 ps for rising and falling edge measurements.
The MA24441A provides a fast video bandwidth of 6 MHz and a standard video bandwidth of 350 kHz, with an average-power dynamic range of -50 dBm to +20 dBm and a pulse dynamic range of -40 dBm to +20 dBm.
Software
The supplied PC software is used to configure the sensor and display results. Available views include peak and average power readouts, a trace view for pulse power analysis, and CCDF graphs. Crest factor and other statistical measurements are supported, and multiple sensors can be synchronized for multi-channel measurements.
