Overview
The VIAVI A1 400G 16-port Appliance is a 2U rack-mountable QSFP-DD test platform for VIAVI TestCenter. Each port can be configured for 400/200/100/50G PAM4 or 200/100/50/40/25/10G NRZ operation. Auto Negotiation and Link Training are supported at all speeds, including 8x50G.
The appliance supports VIAVI Smart Port Technology, a licensed feature that allows upgrades one port and one speed at a time. A high-density 100G mode, which needs an external accessory and a license, provides 4xQSFP28 from each QSFP-DD port, for up to 64x100G ports from a single 2U platform. The optional VIAVI XStream mode raises traffic generation and protocol scale.
RoCEv2 and CCL support make it possible to test AI infrastructure at high scale, alongside L2/3 routing, switching and data center protocol testing.
