Overview

The VIAVI OneAdvisor 800 RF Spectrum Analyzer is a portable test solution for RF work, used both in the lab and in field deployments. It combines automated RF testing, data workflows and real-time persistent spectrum views on one platform, so engineers and operators can find, diagnose and resolve RF issues.

Spectrum analysis on the OneAdvisor 800 is provided by radio analysis modules that plug into the ONA-800A mainframe. Depending on the module, the frequency range runs from 9 kHz to 6, 9, 18, 32 or 44 GHz. The A-series modules (RA09MA-O to RA44MA-O) and B-series modules (RA09MB-O to RA44MB-O) are covered in separate datasheets.

Measurement functions include swept-tuned spectrum analysis with automated RF conformance testing for LTE and 5G, real-time persistence spectrum with 100 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth, and spectrogram analysis that tracks spectral conditions over time. Route maps produce geolocated heat maps of spectral measurements, and spectrum data can be logged for replay or post-processing.

The platform is used for telecom, defense, laboratory, manufacturing and enterprise applications. Optional software adds interference analysis, gated sweep, channel and blind scanning, EMF analysis, and LTE, DSS and 5G NR signal analysis.
