The VIAVI J6873A 10 Gbps/1 Gbps Ethernet Interface, listed as the 4-Port 1G/10G Card, is a half-length, full-height PCI Express interface card. It provides Ethernet packet capture and processing for the VIAVI Signaling Analyzer, a protocol test and diagnostic solution.
The card performs full packet capture and analysis of Ethernet-based traffic at up to 40 Gbps with zero packet loss for all frame sizes from 64 to 10,000 bytes. It also offers extensive filtering and network key performance indicators.
Real-time data from multiple ports in the network can be captured and merged into a single analysis stream. Packet time-stamping, IEEE 1588-2008 PTP time synchronization and nanosecond time sync across two cards in the same host support correlated multi-port analysis.
