Overview

The VIAVI SecurePNT 6200 Series is a compact timing reference for critical infrastructure. It uses TrustedPNT technology and a zero-trust multisource platform that combines GPS/GNSS with alternative and enhanced satellite timing sources, so timing and positioning can continue when GNSS is jammed, spoofed or unavailable.

The units are intended for network operators, back-office timing, data centers, financial transaction timing, deep-indoor timing and positioning, ship-board timing and R&D labs that need a timing and positioning reference that does not depend on GNSS.

SecureTime services

On top of GPS/GNSS, the series can use VIAVI SecureTime services: altGNSS LEO, a GNSS-independent encrypted source powered by Iridium STL; eGNSS GEO, an enhanced GNSS source with authenticated spoofing detection powered by Fugro AtomiChron on Inmarsat; and altGNSS GEO, a GNSS-independent source powered by Fugro on Inmarsat and other satellite constellations. S models include the LEO STL receiver and L models include the GEO-L receiver.

Retrofitting legacy clocks

The patented µPNTranscoder generates a GPS L1 C/A RF output signal. With it, a SecurePNT 6200 placed between the antenna and an existing GPS clock receiver turns legacy GPS/GNSS clocks into resilient multisource PNT clocks without replacing them. Holdover is provided by an internal DOCXO (6250 models) or rubidium oscillator (6260 models), and external 10 MHz and 1 PPS inputs accept a Cesium clock.
