Overview
The SPA06MA-O is a member of the VIAVI Radio Analysis Module (SPAxxMA) family, a set of modules that pair with the OneAdvisor 800 wireless field test platform. It covers 9 kHz to 6 GHz and combines spectrum analysis, signal analysis, RFoCPRI interference analysis, Ethernet testing and O-DU emulation in one portable module.
The spectrum analyzer provides swept and FFT modes, gated sweep, and optional real-time persistent spectrum analysis with 50 MHz or 100 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. Optional interference analysis adds spectrogram and RSSI logging, interference finder triangulation, radar chart localization and TDD Auto Gated Spectrum (TAGS) for 5G NR. Cellular signal analyzers are available for LTE/LTE-A FDD and TDD, 5G NR, DSS, NSA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, with blind scanner, route map, channel scanner and EMF measurement options.
Ethernet, fronthaul and timing
The SPA06MA-O variant adds SFP+ and QSFP cages for Ethernet verification from 10M/100M/1GE up to 10GE, 25GE and 100GE, with RFC 2544, Y.1564 and QuickCheck workflows, IEEE 1588v2 PTP master and slave emulation, IPv6 testing, wire-speed capture with integrated Wireshark, and CPRI BERT. RFoCPRI interference analysis works on CPRI rates 1 to 8 through dual SFP/SFP+ ports.
The module supports test process automation through automated testing, remote control and cloud services for asset and data management when used with the OneAdvisor 800.
