VIAVI RF Expansion Module (RFEM) for SPHEREA ATEC Test Systems
RF test expansion module that integrates into SPHEREA ATEC Test Systems for testing airborne RF components.
Overview
The VIAVI RF Expansion Module (RFEM) supports testing of airborne RF components on the SPHEREA ATEC® Test System. VIAVI developed and manufactures it in partnership with SPHEREA, and it is compatible with both new and existing ATEC® Test Systems.
The RFEM connects to the ATEC® Test System through an Ethernet interface, so existing ATE installations can be retrofitted. A test executive interface is provided for the test operator, and SPHEREA and VIAVI Solutions provide service and support jointly worldwide.
The RF instrumentation package uses VIAVI PXI-format synthetic instrument modules for signal generation and analysis. Their compact size allows more instrument resources to fit in the RFEM tower.
Test Program Sets
VIAVI Solutions is developing a library of Test Program Sets (TPS) for navigation, communication, TCAS, transponder, GPS and other RF systems. The product strategy has OEM support and CMM listing. RFEM and TPS information is available on the SPHEREA MySpherea customer support website.
