Overview
The VIAVI Nano OSA modules (4100 Series) are optical channel verifier (OCV) and optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) modules that combine high-resolution measurement with full wavelength band coverage for dense WDM channel analysis in metro and access networks. The series consists of the OCV-4100 Optical Channel Verifier and the OSA-4100 Optical Spectrum Analyzer.
The OCV-4100 scans CWDM or DWDM systems over the full wavelength range and automatically records all channels with the ITU-T channel number, wavelength or frequency, offset and related power level. The OSA-4100 adds an optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) measurement per channel to qualify amplified links.
The modules can be paired with multiple VIAVI platforms, including T-BERD/MTS-2000 V2, T-BERD/MTS-4000 V2, T-BERD/MTS-5800, CellAdvisor 5G, OneAdvisor 800 and OneAdvisor 1000, combining optical spectrum analysis with Ethernet/BERT, OTDR or wireless RF test for WDM service activation and maintenance.
Pluggable transceiver testing
An integrated SFP/SFP+ slot can drive fixed or tunable pluggables, allowing transceivers to be validated or programmed in the field, together with channel drift and offset verification.
User interface and workflow
The user interface supports multi-touch gestures such as touch, drag, pinch zoom, swipe and long press, together with auto test features. The modules also support VIAVI Test Process Automation (TPA), a closed-loop test system for workflow management and automated reporting for job close-out.
