Overview
The VIAVI PSDAF-537 is an aircraft-specific fuel quantity interface from the VIAVI Fuel Interfaces range. VIAVI maintains a library of aircraft-specific interface cables and units for rotary and fixed-wing platforms. Combined with a VIAVI Fuel Quantity Test Set, these interfaces support functional testing and troubleshooting of the aircraft fuel quantity system.
The PSDAF-537 is listed in the VIAVI Bell Helicopter Fuel System Support Equipment data sheet. That data sheet covers ground support equipment for testing the fuel quantity indicating system on the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey), AH-1C Cobra, Bell 204/205 and 214. The same data sheet lists it alongside the PSD60-1AF Fuel Quantity Test Set, which is replaced by the PSD90-3AC AC Capacitance Test Set.
According to the data sheet, the interface gives access to the probes and compensators of all tanks. It connects between the fuel quantity test set and the aircraft at the Fuel Quantity Indication System (FQIS) unit front connectors.
