Overview
The VIAVI PSD40-556ZZZ is an aircraft-specific interface cable from the VIAVI fuel interfaces range. It is part of the ground support equipment VIAVI lists for testing the ATR 42/72 Fuel Quantity Indicating System.
The cable connects at the tank wall and gives access to probes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on ATR-72 aircraft. Related cables in the same family cover other probe groups: the PSD40-556XXX for ATR-42 aircraft, and the PSD40-556YYY for probe 1 on ATR-72 and on ATR-42 with MOD 1666.
The interface cable is used together with a VIAVI fuel quantity test set. The ATR 42/72 support equipment datasheet lists the PSD90-3AC AC Capacitance Test Set, which replaces the PSD60-2R. Used together, the test set and the aircraft-specific interfaces allow full functional testing and troubleshooting of the fuel quantity system.
