Overview

The VIAVI PSD40-555-2 is an aircraft-specific T-cable for testing the fuel quantity indicating system on ATR 42/72 aircraft. It connects to both tanks at the right indicator. From there it can measure the tank units and simulate signals to the indicator.

The cable is part of the VIAVI range of aircraft-specific fuel interface cables and units. These are used together with a VIAVI fuel quantity test set for functional testing and troubleshooting of the fuel quantity system. For the ATR 42/72, VIAVI lists the PSD90-3AC AC capacitance test set, which replaces the PSD60-2R.

Aircraft with service bulletin SB ATR72-28-1026 need an adapter tool from ATR before the cable can connect to the aircraft. The PSD40-555-1 is the matching T-cable for the left indicator.

Key Features

  • T-cable that interfaces to both fuel tanks at the right indicator
  • Allows measurement of the tank units
  • Allows simulation to the indicator
  • Used with a VIAVI fuel quantity test set for ATR 42/72 fuel quantity indicating system testing
