Overview
The VIAVI CF400Q is the multi-speed configuration of the CF400 CyberFlood appliance, a Layer 4-7 stateful traffic performance solution for testing content-aware networks, security systems and web applications. It supports both the CyberFlood and Avalanche testing tools and generates high-strength cryptographic and realistic application traffic.
The CF400Q is equipped with 8 x 100G QSFP28/QSFP+ multi-speed interfaces, which provide quint-speed native connectivity for 10G, 25G, 40G, 50G and 100G Layer 4-7 application traffic. Users can specify load variables and create tests with mixed traffic profiles that emulate real-world network scenarios.
The appliance includes a built-in CyberFlood controller, so tests can be run from the web-based CyberFlood interface without additional hosting platforms. Its modular architecture allows multiple appliances to be stacked into a single test system to validate multi-terabit security controls, application delivery platforms and hyperscale data center networks.
Test methodologies
NetSecOPEN standard methodologies are built into CyberFlood, including goal-seeking tests that find the maximum performance of devices under test. Avalanche software on the appliance supports configurable user behavior such as browser emulation, think times, clickaways, HTTP basic and proxy authentication, and HTTP Adaptive Bitrate video testing.
