Overview
The VIAVI CX150 ComLite is a compact, field-portable communications service monitor for analog radio support. It brings together commonly used test functions from VIAVI's larger radio test sets in a handheld package intended for diagnostics and alignment both in the field and in the shop.
The test set is designed for legacy analog push-to-talk systems and is aimed at technicians maintaining public safety networks, servicing utilities and supporting industrial fleets. The standard configuration provides a 1 GHz frequency range, a spectrum analyzer, WiFi and VNC remote access.
User interface
Carried over from the CX300, the QuickSwitch™ feature allows switching between Duplex, Transmit and Receiver tests without disrupting the current measurement setups. QuickSwitch™ also switches between the analog, Spectrum Analyzer and Cable and Antenna Analysis modes.
Cable and antenna analysis
With the optional 1-port Vector Network Analyzer, the CX150 measures Distance to Fault, VSWR and Return Loss. Precise, calibrated measurements require the Short-Open-Load Calibrator.
VIP Tool
The optional VIP Tool simplifies instrument programming using Microsoft Excel. Scripts can range from simple to complex, and the tool creates and exports reports with supporting graphics such as Channel Analyzer and Distribution Plots.
