Overview

The Nicslab Multiconnector M2 is a 120-channel multi-connector with FFC and pin-header interfaces. It is a passive interconnect board (type 2 / M2) that sits between the main XPOW system and a device under test (DUT).

The board breaks out 120 channels to three 50-pin FPC connectors and a 2.54 mm pin header. The FPC connectors (points A–C) are connected directly to the pin header (point D) according to matching labels, so the same signal is available on both connector types at once.

Reconfiguration

Reconfiguration pins are arranged in two separated groups (points E–J and points K–P) and are connected with jumper wire. This allows the channel and ground assignment to be remapped away from the factory default to suit different DUT connector types without modifying the main system. In the factory default configuration, X1–X120 are grounded and Y1–Y120 are channels.

Verification and system connection

A channel output checkpoint (point Q, 1–120) and a 6-pin ground checkpoint (point R) allow multimeter verification without disconnecting cabling. Point S is a pass-through connector to the main XPOW system and is pre-wired at the factory. The board requires no external power beyond what passes through from the main system.

Key Features

  • 120 channels broken out across FPC connectors (points A–C) and a 2.54 mm pin header (point D)
  • Points A, B and C directly connected to point D according to matching labels
  • Reconfiguration pins split into two separated groups (points E–J and points K–P), connected using jumper wire
  • Ground checkpoint (6 pin, point R) for multimeter verification
  • Channel output checkpoints (point Q, 1–120) for verification without disconnecting cabling
  • Direct pass-through connector (point S) to the main XPOW system, factory pre-wired
  • Compact, passive PCB with no external power required beyond what passes through from the main system
  • Supports multiple simultaneous DUT connection types (FPC and pin header) from a single board
  • Factory default configuration: X1–X120 grounded, Y1–Y120 as channels
