MA8171A

Anritsu MA8171A RF Chamber for 5G NR mmWave OTA Protocol Testing

RF chamber providing a shielded OTA environment for 5G NR protocol tests such as mmWave beam management, in SA and NSA modes.

Frequency
800 MHz - 3.8 GHz, 24 GHz - 40 GHz
System
5G NR

Overview

The Anritsu RF Chamber MA8171A provides an over-the-air (OTA) environment for protocol tests, such as 5G NR beam management tests. It is used in the development of 5G NR chipsets, devices and terminals, including UE mmWave development.

The chamber supports both 5G NR Standalone (SA) and Non-standalone (NSA) modes. When combined with an RF converter, such as the 28 GHz RF Converter MA80001A or the 39 GHz RF Converter MA80002A, it enables tests in the mmWave bands.

A typical setup combines the chamber with the Chamber Rack B0746A, a Converter Rack B0747A, the Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A, the Position Controller MA8174A and the Positioner MA8175A, which rotates the device under test on two axes inside the chamber.

Key Features

  • For protocol tests in combination with RF converter in 5G mmWave OTA environment
  • Supports both 5G NR Standalone (SA) and Non-standalone (NSA) modes
  • Supports 5G NR mmWave beamforming management tests
  • For development of 5G NR chipsets and devices as well as UE mmWave development
  • Two-axis positioner (Theta/Phi) available for device orientation
