Overview

The MU909014C is a member of the Anritsu µOTDR Module series MU909014C/14C6/15C/15C6. Fitted to the Network Master MT9090A mainframe, it forms a handheld optical time domain reflectometer intended for both installation and maintenance of optical fiber networks.

According to Anritsu, the series offers 2 cm resolution for mapping events, deadzones of less than 1 meter (3 feet) and a dynamic range of up to 38 dB, which is sufficient for testing links over 150 km (90 miles) or PON-based FTTx networks with splits up to 1 x 64.

The instrument is compact and lightweight, at approximately 700 g, and is sized to fit in the palm of the hand. An integrated launch fiber allows measurement of the initial connector without external devices, and the Fiber Visualizer mode provides simplified operation for users without OTDR experience.
