Overview
The Spectrum Master MS2760A-0070 is the 70 GHz model of the Anritsu MS2760A ultraportable spectrum analyzer family. It covers 9 kHz to 70 GHz and uses a V (1.85 mm) male test port connector, compatible with 2.4 mm connectors.
The MS2760A family is built on Anritsu's patented nonlinear transmission line (NLTL) technology, which Anritsu also uses in its vector network analyzers. The instrument is pocket-sized, so it can connect directly to the device under test. This removes the need for long test port cables, which add loss and error at millimeter-wave frequencies.
The analyzer draws its power over USB and is controlled from a Windows-based PC, laptop or tablet. This makes it suitable for the laboratory, the production line and the field. The software provides spectrum and spectrogram displays, and measures channel power, adjacent channel power and occupied bandwidth. It offers up to six traces, three trace detectors and 12 markers.
Typical applications include 5G and millimeter-wave device development, automotive radar testing, 802.11ad/WiGig spectral mask testing, satellite communications, wireless backhaul, and component characterization on the production line.
